Biovision Veterinary Endoscopy’s Surgical and Diagnostic Training Program

Biovision is the only veterinary endoscopy company that provides extensive hands-on surgical training with the purchase of any of its surgical & diagnostic suite packages. Our experienced surgeons will instruct you to perform various minimally invasive surgical & diagnostic procedures.

Biovision’s training program focuses on our pioneering single port laparoscopic surgical and diagnostic approach. This enables a single veterinarian to perform minimally invasive surgical and diagnostic procedures without the assistance of another veterinarian. Some procedures may require multiple ports, in these cases, our surgeons will teach you how to place additional trocars for multiple port access.

To date, every veterinarian who has completed Biovision’s endoscopic training program has attained the necessary skill and confidence to perform a laparoscopic surgical or diagnostic procedure on their own.

Our focus is not only for the veterinarian to incorporate minimally invasive surgical and diagnostic procedures into their practice, but also to enable them to market these new procedures to their clients. Our surgeons will assist you on how to educate and promote these procedures to your clients.

DURING THE INSTRUCTION, VETERINARIANS WILL GET HANDS-ON TRAINING:

  • Place a trocar
  • Manipulate instruments inside the abdomen
  • Use bipolar cautery
  • Use the video/visualization tower equipment
  • Use CO2 insufflation
  • Use our proprietary Tippy Table for patient positioning to utilize gravity as a retractor
  • Use transabdominal procedures for fixation
  • Use the video-otoscope for examination

THESE SKILLS WILL ENABLE VETERINARIANS TO PERFORM THE MOST COMMON EVERYDAY SURGICAL AND DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES ENDOSCOPICALLY, SUCH AS:

  • Spay
  • Cryptorchid neuter
  • Liver biopsy
  • Prophylactic gastropexy
  • Cystoscopy
  • Rhinoscopy
  • Otoscopy
  • Thoracoscopy*

*

* Advanced training is required to gain proficiency in these procedures.
